What to Prioritize When You’re Wearing All the Hats 🎩⏳

Running an online business can feel like juggling flaming swords while blindfolded 🫣. You’ve got client calls, content to post, emails to send, DMs piling up—and somehow, you’re also expected to “scale.”

If you’re constantly busy but nothing’s really growing, here’s the hard truth: you’re doing too much of the wrong things.

So let’s break it down. What should you actually be prioritizing when you’re doing everything?

1. Income-Generating Activities 💰

First and always: Focus on what brings in cash.

You need to know:

  • What services/products are selling best?
  • What marketing channels are working?
  • What tasks directly lead to revenue?

If it doesn’t bring in income (or directly support income-generating work), it’s a distraction. Period.

Start your day with revenue-generating work—before you open your inbox.
Emails and notifications are someone else’s to-do list. Yours should come first.

2. Client Experience 🧡

Your current clients are your best future marketing.

Prioritize:

  • Smooth onboarding 🔄
  • Clear communication 📢
  • Delivering what you promised (or more) 🎁

Happy clients = repeat business + referrals = organic growth.

3. Marketing That You Can Actually Maintain 📣

Don’t try to be everywhere. Be consistent somewhere.

Pick one or two platforms where your ideal clients hang out (hey, Facebook and IG 👋) and commit to posting regularly. Batch content. Repurpose it. Schedule it.

Quality + consistency beats trying to go viral and vanishing.

4. Your Systems and Processes 🛠️

If every week feels like Groundhog Day, you need systems.

A few things to systematize:

  • Client onboarding/offboarding
  • Social media scheduling
  • Weekly tasks (like reporting or planning)
  • How you respond to inquiries

Systems = sanity.
They free your brain, save you time, and make hiring support way easier down the line.

5. Your Mental Health and Boundaries 🧘‍♀️

You’re not a machine. (And even machines break down if they’re overworked.)
Prioritize:

  • Sleep 😴
  • Breaks ☕
  • Time off 📅
  • Saying “no” without guilt 🙅‍♀️

Burnout doesn’t earn you a gold star. It just slows you down.

Final Take: Busy ≠ Productive

You don’t need to do more. You need to do what matters.

Start with income. Serve your clients well. Build some systems. Post with purpose. Protect your energy.

Everything else? Put it in the “Not right now” pile.

You’re a whole CEO. Act like it 👑
